Truth is essential to sincere faith, just as authenticity is vital for meaningful encounter and community. As artificial intelligence plays an ever-growing role in our daily lives, it shapes both what we perceive as truthful and authentic. What impact does AI have on spirituality, faith practices, and our relations? How are churches engaging with AI – its practical uses, ethical challenges, and the opportunities it offers for churches and believers worldwide?
Join the next European Christian Internet Conference (ECIC) in Rome to explore these questions together.

Topic: No Artificial Intelligence will die on the cross for us. For an embodied spiritual experience.
Despite the strong emphasis on Artificial Intelligence, I believe it’s important to reaffirm the immeasurable beauty and mystery of human life. The body is the site of this epiphany of mystery in which we experience this life. AI, however powerful and in many ways surpassing some of our capabilities, will never be able to understand and experience life.

Topic: Between Algorithms and Identity: AI at the Frontiers of Spirituality.
Abstract: The presentation connects certain fundamental aspects of spiritual inquiry throughout history with the contemporary questions raised by new AI technologies, focusing in particular—drawing from the biblical text—on themes such as identity in the relationship between human beings and God, relationship as the essential foundation of existence, and the way we live and relate to the body, the world, and the Other. Between the need and desire for similarity and difference, the discussion highlights the ethical—but also spiritual—challenges posed by the pervasive presence of AI in our experience.
